Villa Montagna
One of the most unique properties in Europe, providing unsurpassed levels of service, and almost Michelin star level meals, winter or summer, in one of the most idyllic havens on earth. Four Bedrooms.
Italian Alps Villa 8
Quite simply one of the most unique properties in Europe, a stay at Villa Montagna is certainly not your standard ski holiday or summer mountain holiday. Lovingly restored by its passionate owners, Villa Montagna affords supreme levels of service in on of the most idyllic havens on earth. Benefiting from being in a 42 acre private estate nestled 1,200m in altitude, you'd be hard pushed to find a more magical retreat.
Succeed in tearing yourself away from this panoramic spectacle and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Because from the moment you step foot into the Lodge's resplendent entrance you feel you have been transported back to a bygone era. Cunningly achieved through the impeccable attention to detail bestowed by its owners, Stefano and Giorgia, evidence of the former regal residents of this hunting lodge are everywhere. From the original farming antiques hanging from the domed ceilings of the entrance hallway to the cosy authentic alpine stube heating the once parlour now exquisite dining room: From the heavy, rich mahogany of the owners' great, great grandfather's bedframe to the overwhelming fragrance of the mountains oozing from the sauna walls constructed from the trees of the surrounding forests; every conceivable effort has gone into marrying authenticity with sophistication. And the result is a resounding success. Instantly you feel at home. There are no limitations here, time loses all forms of existence - for the duration of your stay this paradise is your home. Breakfast and dinner is as and when you want it. The wine cellar is entirely yours to enjoy. The plunge pool, basking in the glorious views, is inviting you to dip in. Perhaps the only things that we simply insist you must do are: When deciding on your menu, do depend upon Giorgia's culinary genius to guide you in your choice. When popping down to the wine cellar, do take Stefano with you and be inspired by his passionate expertise. And when slipping into that plunge pool, do be sure to hang your robe on that heated rack - nobody likes to be caught out in the cold!
