And a large gazebo shades an al fresco living room, furnished with colourful fabrics and complete with a barbecue and food prep area.

Within the high-spec house are very contemporary bathrooms with polished concrete floors, a smart and functional breakfast kitchen, a chic sitting room meandering through stone arches, and three stylishly uncluttered bedrooms, two of which open on to the gardens. Looking out to valley views, the villa is a stroll away from a local restaurant, about 9 kms from the picturesque towns of Ostuni and Cisterino, and within easy reach of Ionian and Adriatic beaches.
