Set in an enviable position in the heart of Italy's most famous wine producing area, dominating within the surroundings, the villa offers everything for which Tuscany is famous: fabulous wine, excellent restaurants and incredible views spanning from vineyards and olive groves up to the heights of the picturesque village Radda in Chianti.
The views from the garden and the huge terrace overlook the Chianti hills and vineyards of the region, while Radda with its characteristic shops and restaurants is clearly visible on the opposite hill. The villa is one of the most iconic villas in Chianti. Transformed in the late 17th century from a castle into a villa, its facade (remodelled in the early 20th century) and grand external staircase are one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture. Recently restored, its spacious common areas and ample bedrooms perfectly combine traditional features such as beamed ceilings and terracotta floors with contemporary Italian designer features. The private swimming pool, tennis court, ping-pong table, wine cellar, and close location to charming local towns guarantee a good time is to be had by all.
Between the two small towns of Radda and Gaiole in Chianti, two historical sites for the production of Chianti Classico, right in the heart of Tuscany, lies Villa Historica, a large farm of approx 500 acres. The 17th century villa, owned by the noble family of Prince Ferdinando Strozzi and afterwards by the family of the Baron Giorgio Sonnino, with its majestic and unique facade, dominates from a hilltop 500 m above sea level. The Villa is protected by the Regional Board of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Environmental Conservation.
The house ( 750 sq. mt. on two floors) offers: 6 double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, 1 communicating single room,1 single room, dinig room, living room on the first floor with fireplace, living room with french open door onto the garden with beautiful view over the Chianti hills, kitchen, library.

Additional maid service (EUR 10 per hour). 3 course pre-prepared lunch or dinner can be delivered to the villa from EUR 30 per person (min. 6 people), payable locally. The meal only needs to be reheated and is swiftly ready. Chef Service (professional service) - available from EUR 65 per person (based on a minimum of 6 guests) to include 4 courses, groceries, time to do the shopping, clearing up afterwards. Cookery Class - available from EUR 90 per person (based on a minimum of 4 guests) Pre-arrival grocery shopping is available - up to 8 guests (EUR 30 service fee) or up to 12 guests (EUR 50 service fee) plus the cost of groceries. Service available up to grocery cost of EUR 200. Extras are payable locally in cash euro only. Cheques and credit cards are not accepted. A deposit is due on arrival in cash euro for the payment of extras charged "per consumption".

Fabulous Villa, Location
My family and I stayed at the villa for a month during August 2013 and various groups of friends join us during that time. The villa was beautiful and spacious and set in lush vineyards with breath-taking views. We took advantage of hiring the housekeeper, a chef and tennis coach. The pool is atop the hill to the rear of the villa and was a fabulous area in which to relax and unwind. The owner was more than accommodating and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to return to such a magical place.

Marvelous wedding and superb holiday
We were so lucky to pick Villa Vistarenni for our wedding and holiday with the family and friends. We spent one absolutely amazing week in the villa before our wedding party, embracing unforgettable atmosphere of the villa with its rich history and tasteful luxury, enjoying great surroundings of the area and just relaxing in the comfort and beauty of Vistarenni.
We rented the whole villa with dependancies for the whole week so that our big family and best friends could share this enjoyment with us. And it was a good decision because we loved seeing everybody being happy about amazing time we spent together. Vistarenni has everything to make your wedding, family reunion or any other big event a success. Apart from 17 bedrooms , countless number of dining rooms, seating rooms with great view to the picturesque valley, a library and a kitchen-museum, the property has a large hall for gala dinner. This makes it even more attractive wedding destination.
Elisabetta, the owner of the villa, was very welcoming and friendly. She helped us to find the right vendors and was managing the set up and preparation on the wedding day. We didn't have to hire a wedding planner. The wedding party went very went. We can't name a thing that we were not happy with.
If you are looking for a wedding location, family reunion or just a holiday in Tuscany, this is the choice.

Exceeded expectations across the board
Everything about this villa is perfect. It is even more beautiful than pictures, views extraordinary, location convenient to everything in Chianti region, easy walk to town. Villa easily accommodated our party of 12 with room to spare. Owner went out of her way to help us when we had car trouble. Other villas that I have stayed at in this price range aren't even close.

Fairy tale wedding
We had our wedding at Villa Vistarenni a few weeks ago, its couldn't have been more perfect!!! The setting is stunning, the Villa is insanely beautiful and Elisabetta who owns the Vila and helped with the wedding was very welcoming and helpful!
We stayed at the Villa from the Wed-Sun and all of the guests who stayed at the villa were enchanted with the Villa and its surroundings. Elisabetta was always on hand in either person or email if we had any questions/needs, even translating our wedding service! Caterina the housekeeper was adorably sweet and also on hand if we needed anything (a case of red wine late at night....she was there!). Elisabetta recommended most of our suppliers for the wedding who all proved to be cost efficient and great service.
