Venezia Undici
Large, 6 bedroom 7500 sq. ft. historic palazzo apartment with housekeeper and cook. Has belonged to the same family for hundreds of years!
Venice Apartment 10
This palace is an historic building located in San Polo, near the Rialto Bridge. It was built at the end of the seventeenth century by a noble venetian family, and has remained in the family since then. Not far from the Grand Canal, it commands its own small square in the quiet of a lovely neighbourhood.
The Palazzo is actually a very large luxurious apartment which occupies the Piano Nobile (the most significant floor) of the four-story family palazzo.
The most striking feature of this imposing apartment is its enormous Gallery/Grand Hall, which runs almost the full length of the apartment. It has well-regarded museum quality paintings on its walls, very tall windows and a wooden ceiling.
The palazzo is elegant and luminous. There is wonderful antique furniture throughout. Significant artwork, and family heirlooms.
A Noble family house: There is wonderful antique furniture throughout, significant artwork, and family heirlooms. Important frescoes in the sitting rooms and dining room by Hayez and Borsato (who worked at La Fenice Operhiuse) have been recently restored. Several rooms have silk-covered walls. The library walls are covered in original mahogany cupboards for books. From the tall windows of the apartment there are views of gardens and rooftops of Venice. These views can also be enjoyed from a large terrace with lovely plantings, tables and chairs. Several rooms have fireplaces. The family regularly uses this apartment, so guests will enjoy the feeling of an exclusive and magnificent Venetian home.
Beautiful terrance with nine chairs.
It's a 10 minutes walking to get to Piazza San Marco and Palazzo Ducale. There are two waterbus stops 5 minutes away, but there are so many things you can reach just walking ! The Frari Cathedral and San Rocco school. The accademia and, if you are interested in modern and contemporary art the Guggenheim Museum and Palazzo Grassi. Rialto is a very lively place with its fish and vegetable market every morning, and an endless choice of restaurants and wine bars where you can enjoy delicious and savoury finger food along with a glass of wine.
The price includes:1 full-time housekeeper/cook for breakfast and one other meal a day; heating; utilities (except for telephone); household needs and linens.
6 Bedrooms(4 double, 2 singles)/4 Bathrooms 700 m2/7534 sq. ft. Four stories.

I stayed here with a group of friends and it was the most amazing place I've ever stayed! Marcela who works on the property is an amazing cook and a big sweetheart. She was also very knowledgable of the neighborhood and where to shop. We had a lot of space and it was a very lovely experience.

OUTSTANDING PLACE WITH WONDERFUL COOK/HOUSEKEEPER
- 5 of 5
Brought a group of 6 teenagers here for a wonderful 4 days in Venice. Staying in the palazzo is like stepping back in history. Great, quiet location but close to everything. Very clean, well maintained. Best of all was Marta, the lovely, warm cook/housekeeper, who took wonderful care of us and cooked us fabulous dinners every night. Would highly recommend particularly if you have a large group.

Our group of 6 (2 parents, 2 children + 2 grandmothers) were looking for a very special place to stay in Venice that didn't involve us being spread out across multiple hotel rooms. I am so happy that we found Palazzo Albrizzi! Upon entering the enormous welcome hall, the kids exclaimed "is this all ours?!" The palazzo is filled with museum quality history from Riccardo's family. We felt like we were living like 18th century Venetian royalty (except with modern plumbing). Like everyone else before us, we agreed that one of the highlights of staying here was Marta, who was warm, welcoming, an amazing cook, and saw to our every need. My children adored her, as did the "nonnas" (grandmothers in Italian, as we learned from Marta). Is was so relaxing to return to the palazzo after a busy day of touring the gorgeous Venetian sights and have a prosecco on the rooftop terrace, which was green and lovely even in the July heat. If you are looking for a very special, very unique and non-hotel experience, this is your place! Thank you so much Riccardo and Marta!!

Staying in Giulio's and Ricardo's palazzo in Campiello Albrizzi was the most perfect holiday my wife and I have ever had. We had eight friends staying with us in this exquisite palazzo to celebrate a 60th birthday. La Signora Marta, extraordinary chef and major-domo, could not have been more welcoming or accommodating, preparing banquets for us every evening with the freshest of food from the local markets.. Everyone fell in love with her and her cuisine. The palazzo allows you to live a Venetian dream of another era. We expected Byron to walk in and have cocktails with us on the superb terrace. This is the place for the best holiday you will ever have.

It was a privilege and a treat to stay in this amazing apartment!
Booking and dealing with Giulio and his brother Riccardo was very easy, and all our requests and queries were dealt with promptly. The pictures do not give full justice to the scale and grandeur of the property, but it also feels lived in, as it is still used by the owner's family. The layout is a little confusing to start with, as there are so many doors and interconnecting rooms! (A floor plan would have been useful).
The real star attraction though has to be Marta, the Housekeeper. In spite of our lack of Italian, we were able to communicate well, and she produced some of the best meals any of us have had in Venice! It made the stay more like being in an exclusive hotel, as she shopped for all the food, prepared the meals and cleared away afterwards. All we had to do was choose and buy the wine! She also kept the apartment spotlessly clean (no mean feat given the size of it) and did laundry. We all wanted to bring her back to England, but for some reason she preferred to stay in Venice.
Another plus point is the terrace, which was the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or just to soak up the sun.
The location is excellent - very quiet (except in school play time!) yet within a few minutes walk of many restaurants and shops. The Rialto market is a fascinating place to visit, and there is a vaporetto stop there. (The one at S. Silvestro is currently closed). All in all, if you are a large group or family, I can't think of a better place to stay in Venice.

What can I say? This place felt like we were living in a dream. It was beautiful, great location, but the best part? The housekeeper and cook Marta. I kept on referring to her as my Italian mama because she treated my whole family like we were part of hers. Her food was absolutely delicious. Best veal I've eaten. She went above and beyond and my children adored her. My niece cried when we left as Marta touched her heart.
The palazzo is gorgeous. And it's huge. That being said, I swear Marta must dust daily because the place was spotless. Look no farther for a rental. This is your place!

We were a group of 9 celebrating various birthdays in this wonderful palazzo. The apartment is stunning and has a magical atmosphere. We felt priviledged to experience this beautiful place and also felt very much at home. We could not wait to come home from our excursions and have a drink on the terrace. We did not have to go to many historic places, because we were living in one. There is no better way to stay in Venice than here. The owner was very nice and responsive and the housekeeper great. Everything was clean and tastefully maintained. We will definitely be back. Dagmar
