The setting is gorgeous, the classic Renaissance style villa is located within a 720 hectare (1200 acre) estate, commanding an impressive view over the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. The portion of the estate where the villa is situated consists of 14 hectares/23 acres planted with vineyards, olive groves and old-growth hardwoods. Eight kilometers of easy driving separate Villa Romola from Florence. At 1000 ft./320 meters above sea level the house has a commanding view of the Tuscan countryside encompassing the hill towns of Fiesole, Panzano, Florence and distant Volterra. Constructed in the late 19th c., it has been carefully restored by a leading Italian designer and sits in the heart of the Chianti wine production zone.
Romola is an ideal place to relax in the lap of luxury. In fact, Prince Charles and Lady Diana were guests on the estate where the villa is located on their first trip to Italy in 1986. The house is surrounded by a large natural park, and the grounds include a large swimming pool, a tennis court, a small amphitheatre and many lovely paths for strolling. Interiors are elegant and stylish, yet comfortable and welcoming. But what sets this magnificent country house apart is the tower on its top level. Furnished as a comfortable living room, the tower has wraparound windows with a panoramic 360° breathtaking view of the countryside, inviting a quiet respite with a book or a glass of wine at sunset. The villa has been written up in numerous international publications, just recently in the Russian edition of Architectual Digest.

There are few things more important than a good night of sleep, so the first floor of the villa is designed to ensure that you always wake up happy and well-rested. All rooms are quiet, cool, and comfortable, with suite-level amenities and a breath-taking vista from the windows.
The first floor of the villa can accommodate up to twelve guests in large bedrooms equipped with all comforts. All the rooms offer the best privacy possible and are provided with an en suite. All the bathrooms are equipped with showers, and two also have premium bathtubs. Two rooms are equipped with twin beds and four bedrooms with king-size beds, while there is a large wardrobe room where you can easily store everything you packed.

The 32-acres of the villa’s grounds are the perfect place to enjoy some quality time with the people you love, surrounded by majestic evergreen oaks and a one-of-a-kind panorama. Aside from the several outdoor areas for dining al fresco, including BBQ, and relaxing private spots, the highlights of the villa are the private park, the manicured garden, the private heated swimming pool with lounge chairs and shades, the private tennis court, bocce court.

Daily housekeeping for up to 4 hours. English speaking host for check-in and check-out. Garden and pool maintenance. Cook available at additional charge.
Exclusions
3000 Euro refundable security deposit. Extra housekeeping service: € 12 per hour (on Sundays and on bank holidays €15 per hour). The building’s location, the setting and the typical Tuscan landscape are absolutely stunning. The immaculate lovely maintained garden, warm enough in day time to enjoy the swimming pool while the evening breeze makes it ideal for outdoor dining, has been the perfect unique retreat for relaxation.
