The villa was built into the city wall of a small medieval village which was established in or around 1213, and was considereded a noble house. The villa is in the center of a little village where you will truly enjoy the real Italian country life. It is situated only few kilometers from the beautiful town of Pienza, famous all over the world for the production of Pecorino cheese. The villa is also a short distance from the most interesting places from an historical point of view and for amazing gourmet experience such as Montalcino, Montepulciano, Siena, Cortona and many others.

The house is on three floors, on the ground floor dining room and kitchen are on either side of a lovely working fireplace so if you prefer to dine at home , there is every imaginable type of cookware and utensil at your disposal. There is also a charming breakfast terrace just off the dining room for a leisurely morning cappuccino in the sun. The three bedrooms and two single beds are on the other two levels. The three double bedrooms and two single bedrooms are on the other two levels. The three double bedrooms are air-conditioned, large and elegant, all with en-suite bathrooms which are modern and stylish. Two of the double rooms are connected to a single bedroom which can be used as a dressing or reading room as well. The single bedrooms share the ensuite bathroom with the double suites. Luxurious bedding is provided in all rooms.

Ground Floor

Enter from the front door into a wide entrance hall. On your right is the spacious living room that spans the full length of the home. Here you have large sofas and coffee tables , a 42 inch flat screen TV, DVD and CD Player as well as an iPod docking station and library of books and magazines.
On your left side of the entrance hall is a full bathroom with walk in shower, followed by the entrance to the kitchen and another entrance to the dining room. The kitchen is professionally fitted with large refrigerator and freezer, designer oven and cooktop and wine cooler. The large oak island is perfect for preparing your meals. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen through two walkways, separated by a glass fireplace that can be enjoyed by both sides. From the dining room a door leads out to a second terrace with cafe table and four chairs, ideal for enjoying your coffee and listening to the birds sitting in the pomegranate trees.

Basement Floor

The Laundry room is reached from the terrace, past the dining room and down a set of stairs. A well lit room leads you from the cantina to the laundry room where you have a washing machine and a dryer.

First Floor

From the central hallway, a majestic stone staircase takes you up to a landing with window overlooking the gardens, continue up and you arrive at a seating area with a desk and printer and a comfortable chair for reading or relaxing. Off of this seating area are two Queen bedrooms, one on each side of the hallway and mirror images of each other. Both bedrooms have two entrances. The first door opens to a small hallway - in front of you is the large bathroom with walk in shower, a door leads to the front of the house where you have a Queen bedroom that also has another door leading directly to the seating area. Facing the garden is a dressing room with daybed. On request, the daybeds can accommodate one person but note that while there are doors from the hallway and to the bedroom, there are no doors for the dressing room.

Second Floor

Continue up the staircase to the Mansard/ Attic. Enter into the room onto a small hallway and a large bathroom with tub. Continue down the short hallway to the spacious room with King bed and a small seating area. Please note that this room is located in the Mansarda or Attic and the ceilings slope at the perimeters.

Exterior

While the front door takes you right onto a pleasant little piazza, the rear door leads you to a private and tranquil garden which is meticulously planted with cypress trees, a pomegranate tree and particular flowers chosen for their scent and color. Here in the garden you will find a small plunge pool (11.5 feet x 8.5 feet x 3 feet deep), as well as lounge chairs on the main terrace with views of the garden, perfect for sipping a glass of Brunello di Montalcino. From the terrace, an immediate left will take you to a covered storage area and beyond that the small terrace that leads to the dining room. From the main terrace, four short steps takes you to the luscious green lawn surrounded by shrubbery and a small plunging pool , a walkway to the left has a staircase that leads you to the basements laundry room.
