Il Cavallerizzo

8 bedroom, 8000 sq. ft. villa on the beach. From $19,900 per week.

Seacoast-Tuscany Villa 13

Villa Olympia is along the beautiful coast of Maremma, just a few meters from the sea with independent access and large outdoor parking space. Entirely surrounded by the Nature Reserve of Rimigliano, the villa has:
- a large private garden (extending for about 7 hectares/17.5 acres) with barbecue;
- a newly built swimming pool (May 2014), equipped with parasol, sunbeds and deckchairs;
- a patio with dining table, chairs and sofa;
- a private cabin built on stilts directly on the beach (ideal for having meals or simply relaxing during the day at the sea).
Dating back to the 1600s, the property was once a horse outpost (hence, the origin of its name, meaning "the horsemen). Later, in the '30s, it was restored by the owners - Count Uguccione and Countess Lea della Gherardesca - and transformed into a luxurious hunting and summer residence.

The Villa is a nice and well equipped, ideal for groups of friends or large families who wish to spend a relaxing sea holiday, standing a few meters from the beach. In our opinion, in fact, the strengths of this property are its location (just 100 m from the sea) and the private cabin built on stilts directly on the beach. Moreover, if you prefer not swimming in the sea, there is a newly built swimming pool available. The interior design is tasteful and classy, with a prevalence of antique furniture; the rooms are bright and comfortable; the garden is large and well kept.

Villa Olympia is located in San Vincenzo, a seaside resort of Maremma, forming part of the Etruscan Coast. The latter is a long coastal stretch (about 90 km), bordered to the north by Livorno and to the south by Piombino, also including four municipalities of the hinterland (such as Collesalvetti, Sassetta, Suvereto and Campiglia Marittima). The name of this coastal area is due to the presence of the Etruscans, that lived here since the ninth century B.C.One of the most significant evidence of this civilization is undoubtedly represented by Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia, extending out about 80 acres between Piombino and the Gulf of Baratti, where stood the ancient Etruscan town of Populonia. The park is a real open-air museum where you can see the traces of the steel industry and the commercial and cultural aspects (for example the Necropolis) of the Etruscan civilization. Other Etruscan Coast' archaeological and green sites to visit are those of Parks of the Val di Cornia, including the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia, and Rimigliano and Sterpaia Coastal Parks. For sea lovers, along the Etruscan Coast, there are wild and rocky beaches that alternates with gentle and sandy ones. In addition to San Vincenzo, there are other Etruscan Coast' seaside resorts: Marina di Castagneto Carducci, Donoratico, Marina di Bibbona, Rosignano Marittima, Cecina. For those seeking to relax and wellness, it is advisable to go to the Terme del Calidario and to the Terme of Venturina, equipped with its own natural spring at 36°.

Finally, just a few km from the villa, you will find two small and ancient medieval villages: Castagneto Carducci (which is the childhood place of the famous Italian poet Giosuè Carducci) and Bolgheri. The latter is the producing country of one of the best wines in the world, the Sassicaia. This town is, in fact, part of the Etruscan Coast Wine and Olive Oil Route, an area extending for over 150 kilometers along the Province of Livorno, including Elba Island, and consists of wine and olive oil producers.

Internet Wi-fi available in all the rooms. The villa does not have a dishwasher.

Included in the price: Utilities: gas, water, electricity; park pool and house maintenance; final cleaning; Internet Wi-fi;towels and sheets provided.

The villa (740 m2/ ) can accommodate up to 13 people, for a total of 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms (of which 4 en-suite).
